The dog was rescued and released just before it was killed, and now people stop and look at it.
Don’t let Angel know, although it’s evident that he has scars on his face.
According to ilovemydog, the lovely Belgian shepherd puppy was just saved from the dog meat trade in China in 2015 after being horribly deformed by meat dealers. According to ilovemydog, Angel was in danger of falling victim to the heinous act until protesters stepped in and stopped a vehicle taking the dogs to the slaughterhouse. The dog catchers’ tools, which were used to capture and remove the dogs, left severe scars on Angel’s face.
The generous people at Rushton Dog Rescue flew Angel to the UK after he underwent surgery in China. 25-year-old Hollie Cornes only needed to take one glance to know she wanted to adopt Angel. While the dog had already undergone surgery, extra treatments were required to ensure that it lived a happy and healthy life. According to Cornes, Angel’s scan revealed that one side of her nose was entirely blocked by scar tissue, making it impossible for her to breathe through it, but the other side had a 2 mm opening.
She decided to do what she had to do to let Angel breathe and not worry about her aesthetic appearance. She didn’t want to stress the dog and did not want to do anything just for aesthetic reasons. People donated to a fundraiser and thanks to this help, sweet Angel was able to have surgery. Cornes says that Angel is doing well today and is living her life to the fullest.
We adore happy endings and hope Hollie and Angel have a long and prosperous marriage!
