Thai Monarch Rescues 13 Emaciated Great Danes from Near Death at Breeding Farm
Left to fend for themselves, the dogs had been severely underfed, causing them to become mere skeletons covered in fur. Thanks to the swift intervention of the volunteers and the compassionate care provided by veterinarian Kangwan Thirathamrong, the dogs were nursed back to health. After initial treatment, they were relocated to the Livestock Development’s Animal Center for further recovery.
A spokesperson stated, “We have received a Royal command from His Majesty The King. His Royal Highness has commanded a delegation to adopt the dogs at the Animal Welfare Division.” This generous act ensured that the dogs would receive the necessary treatment, food, and ongoing care they desperately needed.
The previous owner now faces legal consequences under the Cruelty Prevention and Welfare of Animal Act for their neglect and abandonment of the dogs. The monarch’s intervention not only saved these Great Danes from a life of suffering but also serves as a beacon of hope and compassion, reminding us of the power of empathy and kindness even in the face of distressing circumstances.
