Putin’s mother, Thu Huong, shared some insights about her family, revealing that Putin is their first child. Both she and her husband are doctors, which led to Putin’s arrival being a bit delayed. As for the name Putin, it stems from his father’s passion for football, as the boy was born in the same year as the 2018 World Cup hosted in Russia, around the time when President Putin was re-elected.

Putin’s mother shared more about these charming photos, explaining, “This collection of photos was taken to celebrate Putin’s 1st birthday. The dog’s name is Dua, from the photo institute. Since Putin was born in the Year of the Dog, the photo institute suggested that he take pictures with a dog.”
Despite being very young, Putin has a genuine fondness for small animals, which made the process of taking photos with Dua relatively easy. Of course, there were moments when the little star of the show nodded off due to sleepiness. One of the funniest memories from the photoshoot involved Dua “stealing” the ice cream that Putin’s grandmother had bought for him to enjoy as a wake-up treat.
