10 Week Old Puppy Who Got Left In Plastic Storage Container To Fend For Himself Finally Got Rescued
This heartwarming story tells of a pit bull puppy that was discovered abandoned in a plastic tub on the side of the road in Columbia, Maryland. The innocent pup, barely ten weeks old, was left to fend for himself until Jill Eberhart and her son, Thomas, noticed the container and decided to investigate. Upon lifting the cover, they were met with the sight of a starving dog, curled up and helpless. With hearts full of compassion, they offered the dog some water and waited for animal control to arrive.
Taylor Hawkins, an animal control and animal handler, took the puppy under his wing and named him Eddy. Eddy’s condition was grim, but with Hawkins’ care, he began to regain his strength and spirit. Today, Eddy is unrecognizable from the pitiful creature that was discovered in the plastic container, with his adorable saggy ears and playful nature.
The best part of Eddy’s story is that he has found a loving home. The investigation into his abandonment is ongoing, and those responsible for this heartless act must be held accountable. We urge anyone with information on the perpetrators to contact Howard County Animal Control at 410.313.2780. Let us all speak out for the vulnerable animals and children in our communities and report any suspicious activity. Please share Eddy’s story with your family and friends to raise awareness and encourage action.
