Mother gave birth to the world’s largest infants

Sarah Dines’ firstborn, Montague, is her first child. A mother gives birth to an 11-pound baby. She weighs 28 pounds 6 ounces at 11 months. When he was born as a newborn, he was the size of a three-month-old infant.

Doctors predicted Monty would weigh around 8 pounds when she was pregnant. She preferred a water birth, but Monty was 10 days late, so the doctor suggested a scheduled cesarean section that would be safe for both mother and child. Sarah was eventually admitted to the hospital for an emergency -s. Monty was born in the hospital at his heaviest.

When ‘Monty’ was born, he was immediately dressed in toddler clothes and now wears two- to three-year-old clothes.

Sarah, a teacher, had hoped for a water delivery at her home in Broadstone, Dorset, but was forced to have a caesarean section due to the child’s size. He was born so large that he resembled a dinosaur.
“Everyone was laughing when the doctors brought him out, and I had no idea why.” He was ready for school, one of them said, but the small towel they wrapped him in was too small. He was in the 99.9th and 99.6th percentiles for both height and weight.

When Monty was born, none of the clothes Sarah brought in fit him. Even the small cap that the nurses gave him at the hospital was too small. As he’s grown older, he’s gone up and up in size, always wearing larger clothes than his age.

None of Sarah’s doctors can explain why Monty was born so large.
“After he was born, we were both tested for gestational diabetes numerous times, but it was never positive,” Sarah explained. My husband Elliott, 41, is six feet tall, so we were never going to have a small baby.
