50kg Silver bаr Found in Madagascar may be Treasure of Notorious Pirate Captain Kidd

In Madagascar, divers have discovered a 50 kg silver casket with inscriptions on it. On Sainte Marie island, which located off the coast of Madagascar, the box has now been interred. The priceless loot may have come from the remains of a ship that belonged to renowned Scottish pirate William Kidd.

The Guardian says that a joint UK-US archaeological mission led by Barry Clifford, the same person who found the remains of William Kidd’s ship Adventure Galley in 2000, found the silver ag in shallow water near Sainte Marie island.
