Marwanjun’s parents, Madamin and Salam, embarked on a journey to seek treatment for their beloved son. They took him to the 474 Military Hospital in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, in search of a solution. Since birth, Marwanjun’s eyeballs have been concealed by skin, presenting unique challenges for any surgical intervention. Even after the surgery, his ability to perceive light remained compromised, given the high likelihood of complications.
The current medical advice for Marwanjun’s family is to patiently wait until the young boy reaches 16 years of age to undergo an artificial eye transplant. It is known that the phenomenon of children being born without eyes can occur for various reasons, primarily due to genetic mutations.
The complexity of Marwanjun’s case makes it likely that he will have to wait until he is 16 years old to receive an artificial eye transplant.
